Chunky Pea Pod

After many hours and one really late night, I finally have the PDF pattern available!  It is geared more towards photographers, since the yarn wouldn't really be comfortable if you were wanting to use it as a snuggler.  The yarn used for this pea pod is an artisan handspun merino wool, which you can find from different sellers on Etsy (my personal fave is from Fawn @ handsandnotions; I've bought all of my handspun merino wool from her and I highly recommend her!).

If you would like to purchase this pattern as an instant download, purchase here: (this will take you directly to PayPal, and you don't need to be a member of Ravelry to instantly download this)

Mama & baby owls

My sister-in-law is decorating her baby girls' room in owls and had me crochet these for her.  Aren't they cute?! (They took forever to make though - lots of busy work!)  The pattern is from Etsy seller Pepika.

Some news & an update

I've decided to stop making knitted items to sell in my Etsy shop once I run out of supplies because I just don't seem to have the time to focus on other things (like knitting gifts, knitting for my family + I, spending more time with my family, and working on new knitting patterns).  It's going to take some time to get through my yarn stash, but I'd still recommend purchasing hats + pea pods now if you're wanting one.

In other news, I'm happy to announce that my patterns are now available through Ravelry - as instant downloads!  Woohoo!  I'm sure this will make the buying process that much quicker and easier for both you and me, since you won't have to wait hours and hours for me to email it to you.  If you'd like to download my patterns, here are the links:

I'll also have a PDF pattern available soon for this lovely pea pod :)

New pattern and video tutorials

I haven't been tending to my Etsy shop as often as I would have liked since the beginning of this year (thanks to my little jellybean and a nice case of PPD!), but I'm finally getting back into the hang of things. I'm working on an awesome new hat pattern (want a hint? cables - yum!) that will hopefully be available soon and I'm also trying to get some pea pods and hats knitted up. Also - I was thinking that maybe I should make a video tutorial of how to do the "magic loop" technique for all of my customers that buy/have bought my patterns. I don't think that this technique is very well-known and want to make it easier for people to understand (because it really is easier than having to decrease with double pointed needles!). Let me know what you think! I'll put up a poll and you can just vote :)

I'm also thinking that the shop and blog need a face lift..hmm. I'd better get busy!
